2014: USTFCCCA All-Region ... First Team All-RMAC ... Don Whalen Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year ... Team MVP ... Named Student Athlete of the week for the second time on October 20th, Sept. 29th, Nov. 24th, and Nov. 10th. after he broke Fort Lewis College 8K record Saturday afternoon at the Fort Hays State University Tiger Open, held at Sand Plum Park in Victoria, Kan. Gering's 8K time of 24:13.17 broke a 26-year old record held by Charles England ... Named Student Athlete of the week on September 29th, after he led the Fort Lewis College men's cross country team to a top 10 finish at the University of Minnesota Roy Griak Cross Country Invitational Saturday morning, held at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn.

2013: Fort Lewis College Student-Athlete of the Week (Nov. 12 & Nov. 25) ... USTFCCCA All-South Central All-Region ... Named Team MVP ... Qualified for the NCAA National Championship race on Nov. 23 in Spokane, Wash. where he finished 80th with a time of 31:57.6 ... Ran a 10K time of 31:19 at the NCAA South Central Regional meet and finished 22nd overall to help him qualify for the NCAA Championship race ... Ran a career best 25:46.7 in the RMAC Championship 8K race, finishing 25th overall.

2012: RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll ... Chosen as FLC Student-Athlete of the Week on Nov. 18, 2012, for leading Skyhawks to 23rd place finish at NCAA Division II National Championships … Set personal best and ran second-fastest 10k in school history with time of 31:09.2 at NCAA-II National Championships in Joplin, Mo., on Nov. 17 … Notched personal best 8k time with time of 27:06.7 (36th place) at RMAC Championships in Colorado Springs on Oct. 20.

2011: Chosen as FLC’s Most Valuable Runner for 2011 season … FLC’s top finisher at the 8k RMAC Championships in Denver, Colo., on Oct. 22, 2011, with time of 28:03 (48th place) … Finished in 82nd place with time of 36:50 in 10k NCAA-II Central Regionals in Denver, Colo., on Nov. 12, 2011.
