Biography

2023 (5th Year)
Started in all 11 games in his final season as a Skyhawk... brought down 31 receptions for 316 yards to average 10.19 yards per catch and 28.73 yards per game... hauled in a season-long 51-yard reception and a career-high 88 total yards against #1/1 Colorado School of Mines (Nov. 11)... made receptions in nine of his 11 appearances... totaled four or more receptions on five occasions... also registered one tackle against Colorado Mesa (Oct. 14). 

2022 (Senior)

Played and started in all ten games for the Skyhawks... led the roster with 41 total receptions, 16 more than the next closest Skyhawk... recorded 304 total yards to average 7.41 yards per catch and 30.40 yards per game... finished second on the roster with two touchdowns... had a season-long reception of 19 yards... also made six rushing attempts for 22 net yards... averaged 3.7 yards per carry with a season-long 22-yard rushing attempt... returned three kickoffs for a total of 35 yards including a season-long 22-yard return... also recorded one punt attempt for 41 yards while landing it inside the opposing 20-yard line... recorded three solo tackles... also earned Academic All-Colorado Honorable Mention honors from the National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter. 

2021 (Junior)
Made eight appearances across the Skyhawks 11 games... made six total receptions for 92 combined yards... averaged 15.33 yards per catch and 11.50 yards per game... had a season-long reception of 52 yards... also recorded two solo tackles. 

2020 (Sophomore)
Did not make any appearances for the Skyhawks... played just a two-game season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  

2019 (Freshman)
Saw action in three of the Skyhawks ten total games... did not record any statistics. 

High School: Played Basketball and Football all four years... three-time All-Conference honoree in Football... two-time All-State Football honoree... two-time All-Conference honoree in Basketball... two-time Defensive Player of the Year in Basketball... had a single-game high of 361 receiving yards.  

Personal: Son to Lesley and Isaac Cortez... has two brothers, Elijah and Christian... pursuing his degree in Business Administration.
