Dalten Lane is serving as a student assistant coach for the 2016 season. Lane was a four-year letterwinner for the Skyhawks on the defensive line. Below is a year-by-year breakdown of his accomplishments.
2015: All-RMAC Second Team … Don Whalen Outstanding Senior Male Athlete of the Year … Defensive Team MVP … Started all 11 games … Finished the season with 16 solo tackles and 31 assisted tackles (47 total tackles) … Seven of his tackles went for a loss of 22 yards … Added 1.5 sacks for 10 yards loss … Added four quarterback hurries … Blocked a field goal attempt against Black Hills State that was returned 100 yards for a touchdown … Posted a season high eight tackles in his final game of the season at Chadron State, where he also recorded 2.5 tackles for a loss of four yards in the road win.
2014: Played in 11 games … 25 unassisted tackles … 18 assisted tackles … 43 total tackles … 2.5 tackles for loss … one half sack … Two fumble recoveries … Four quarterback hurries … Season high seven total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss at OPSU.
2013: Appeared in all 11 games ... Recorded 31 tackles - 19 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles ... Recorded 3.5 tackles for a loss of five yards ... Made a season high nine tackles at CSU-Pueblo, including a season high seven unassisted tackles ... Recovered a fumble and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown.
2012: Saw action in nine games ... Made five solo tackles and assisted on 18 as a true freshman.
