Prior to FLC: Doughty played three seasons for the Blue Hawks at Dickinson State University (NAIA)... made 26 starts across his 28 games played as a junior among his 50 career games for DSU... named to the All-Frontier Conference Second-Team and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team in 2025-26... helped the Blue Hawks to a combined 44-44 overall record, a 24-25 record in conference action, back-to-back appearances in the North Star Athletic Association Conference Tournament title game, and the NSAAC Regular Season & Tournament Titles followed by a first-round appearance in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Tournament in 2024-25... in his last year at DSU, Doughty averaged 28.1 minutes (786 mins), 15.1 points, (423 pts), 2.0 rebounds (55 rebs), 0.8 assists (22 asts), and 0.8 steals (22 stls) per game with five blocks on shooting marks of 42.4 percent (143-337) from the field, 35.9 percent (71-198) from the three-point line, and 88 percent (66-75) at the free-throw line... went for a stunning career-high of 35 points on 11-of-19 shooting with a 5-for-12 mark from the three-point line and 8-for-8 clip at the free-throw line alongside three rebounds, two steals, an assist, and a block against Valley City State University (Feb. 13, 2025)... also kicked off his junior campaign scoring in double-figures in 15-straight games, backed by five of his six 20-point efforts for the Blue Hawks... for his career at DSU, Doughty put up 480 points (9.6 pts/game), 69 rebounds (1.4 rebs/game), including 11 offensive and 58 defensive boards, 29 assists (0.6 asts/game), 24 steals (0.5 stls/game), and seven blocks with shooting percentages of 41.5 percent (161-388) from the floor, 36 percent (87-242) from deep, and 88.7 percent (71-80) at the line... saw 927 career minutes of action... was a four-year member of the Warriors boys basketball team at Weber High School and earned one varsity letter.
