Summary

Biography

Of the transfers that will be coming to Durango, one will be in a Skyhawk uniform for one season in Otas Iyekekpolor. The big man from Central Arkansas brings a big 6-foot-8 size to the forward position and will add instant experience from logging 70 games in a Bears' uniform. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Iyekekepolor shot 48 percent from the field this year, added 28 rebounds and sent back six blocks while playing in 137 minutes. He also earned the Southland Conference Citizenship Award in 2018, Southland Commissioner's Honor Roll from 2015-2018. 

During his high school career at Lillian Osborne in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, he participated in cross country, volleyball, basketball, soccer and track and field. He played goalie in soccer, forward in basketball and ran in the 110 meter hurdles and 200 meter dash. Iyekekepolor averaged 28 points and 17 rebounds, while in track he made state in the 110 hurdles and was captain of both the volleyball and basketball teams.
