November 23rd, 2009. Espanola, NM. - The Fort Lewis Men's Basketball Team didn't have much time to rest after going 2-0 over the weekend, as they played Northern New Mexico last night, winning 82-70 and improving to 3-0 on the season. The Skyhawks had one day rest but spent that day of rest on their feet cheering for the Men's Soccer team in Sunday's Quarterfinal victory.
“It wasn't a great effort," the Skyhawks' men's basketball coach said. “I didn't do a very good job of getting them ready to play.
The Skyhawks remain in New Mexico this week until their two games on Friday and Saturday in the New Mexico Highlands Classic against 3-0 Angelo State and Jarvis Christian. “I think Angelo State might be one of the best teams we play all year," said Coach Hofman.
