FORT COLLINS, Colo. – November 10, 2014 – Playing in their third exhibition game in four days, the Fort Lewis College men's basketball team lost 85-54 at Colorado State University Monday night at Moby Arena.
The Skyhawks netted 21-of-56 field goals (37.5 percent), 6-of-27 three-point field goals (22.2 percent) and 6-of-14 free throws (42.9 percent).
Three Skyhawks scored in double digits with
Alex Herrera leading the team with 12 points. Half of Herrera's points came from the charity stripe where he sank 6-of-11.
Kofi Josephs came off the bench to add 11 points, four assists and three steals, and
Rasmus Bach chipped in 10 points, two assists and two steals.
The Rams' Gian Clavell led all scorers with 15 points.
Fort Lewis was out-rebounded 54-27. Six of the Skyhawks seven blocks came from
Alex Herrera.
The Skyhawks will open their season Nov. 14-15 in Ignacio, Colo. against St. Mary's University and Texas-Permian Basin.
