Alex Herrera tied a career high in points Friday night in a 93-76 road win against Chadron State College at Chicoine Center. The win moves the Skyhawks to 9-3 overall and 4-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Chadron State drops to 3-8 overall and 2-5 in league games.

Bob Pietrack. "Defensively we were much better in the second half; we rebounded better (plus-9), we rarely turned the ball over (three turnovers), and we out-scored them by 19 in the second half. It was a wonderful performance from
Alex Herrera. We're thankful for a tough RMAC road win and look forward to playing in Spearfish tomorrow night."
Herrera scored 33 points against the Eagles, making 13-of-19 field goals and 7-of-16 free throws. He added nine rebounds, blocked seven shots and dished out two assists.
Cade Kloster, who started the game making three straight three-point field goals in the first five minutes of the game, finished with 12 points and five assists.
Rasmus Bach netted 6-of-10 field goals and made all five free throw attempts as part of his 17 points. He also dished out five assists and pulled down five caroms.
Austin Haldorson came off the bench to score 10 points after sinking 4-of-6 field goals (1-of-2 three-point field goals) and 1-of-2 free throws. He also chipped in two rebounds, one assist and one steal.
Fort Lewis made 61.4 percent from the floor (35-of-57), marking their second highest field goal shooting percentage this season. They hit on 7-of-18 three-point field goals (38.9 percent) and 16-of-27 free throws (59.3 percent).
The Skyhawks dished out 21 assists compared to the Eagles 10 dimes. They out-scored CSC in the paint (50-24) and off of turnovers (17-13). The Eagles bench edged the Skyhawks offensively, out-scoring FLC, 21-16.
Fort Lewis will play at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D. on Saturday at 6 p.m.
