Box Score LAKEWOOD, Colo. – October 25, 2015 – The Fort Lewis College men's soccer team amassed 27 shots Sunday afternoon at Colorado Christian University on their way to a 4-1 road win. Seventeen of the Skyhawks shots landed on goal while FLC's defense held CCU to 11 shot attempts (six on goal). CCU scored the first goal of the game at 30:37.
Nicolas Perez tied the game 10 minutes later with his first career goal off of
Tamino Kroeger's assist.
With 45 seconds left in the first half, Perez found
Martin Lopez on a breakaway for the game-winning goal at 44:15.
Austin Derksen's shot attempt was saved by
Zac Lawrence who cleaned up the rebound for his fifth goal of the season at 64:01. Kroeger sealed the win two minutes later when he landed a shot into the right side of the goal.
Yannis Becker led both teams with six shots (three shots on goal). Kroeger added four shots, all of which were on goal.
Andres Lopez came off the bench to tally four shots.
Elliot Chadderton made five saves in 90 minutes for his ninth win of the season.
The Skyhawks will wrap up the regular season at home on Friday against MSU Denver and on Sunday against UCCS. Both games will count toward the conference standings.
