Match files will be uploaded when available.

At long last, after an NCAA National Quarterfinal and back-to-back Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship losses, the Fort Lewis men's soccer team (11-5-3) has stunned No. 2 nationally ranked Colorado State University Pueblo (13-1-3), 2-1 in overtime, to hand the ThunderWolves their first loss of 2026 and punch the Skyhawks ticket to the 2026 RMAC Championship match.

Fort Lewis will face No. 15 nationally ranked Regis University (11-3-4) in the RMAC Championship this Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Regis Turf Field in Denver, Colo. The Rangers edged fifth-seeded Westminster University (8-7-5) 5-4 in penalty kicks after a 0-0 draw.

CSU Pueblo got the jump in the third meeting of 2026 between the two sides, going up 1-0 early in the 35th minute of action when sophomore defender Pedro Martinez Castro drove into the box and to the byline, before a short service towards the spot found sophomore Silvio Termini, who punched in his second goal of the season.

The Skyhawks responded, forcing several possessions into the ThunderWolves' defensive third before, in the 60th minute, Johan N'Ganzadi went streaking down the far touchline and towards The Pack area, where he drew a hard foul from senior defenseman Owen Rutledge. In addition to the free kick, Rutledge was shown his second yellow card of the match, forcing the red card and the ThunderWolves to play with 10 men for the remainder of the match.

Simply put, Fort Lewis cashed in on the opportunity. Sophomore standout Francisco Pinto stepped up to take the corner-like free kick, and he found Noam Maggartou at the back post to equalize. It was Maggartou's first collegiate goal, adding to his six assists for eight points this year.

Later in overtime, it took all of 1:23 for the Skyhawks to claim the win. This time, it was William Bretvik who drew a free kick in a dangerous area, about five yards outside the far corner of the area. Fabrizio Aguilera sent the ball into the area; two ThunderWolves failed to clear it, and Pinto, at the top of the box, volleyed the loose ball back through the crowd for his sixth goal and his fourth 3+ point performance this year.

Despite the man advantage, Fort Lewis and CSU Pueblo matched one another with 12 shots apiece, but the Skyhawks led in shots on goal 6-to-4, corners 6-to-1, and fouls 3-to-12. The Pack was called offside thrice.
