Kloster Clutch in Comeback Win

DURANGO, Colo. – November 13, 2015 – Senior guard Cade Kloster scored nine of his 20 points in the final 10 minutes to lead the Fort Lewis College men's basketball team out of a 13-point deficit Friday night against West Texas A&M University.  Kloster and the Skyhawks, who opened their season at home, defeated the Buffaloes, 91-81.
 
The Skyhawks trailed 72-59 with 10:17 left in regulation before Kloster made a layup that sparked a 10-0 run.
 
FLC regained the lead with 4:29 remaining when Rasmus Bach nailed a layup.  WT hit two jumpers to take a three-point lead with 2:54 left but Kloster sunk two big threes, a free throw and secured a defensive rebound at 1:26 to help seal the win, 91-81.
 
Four Skyhawks scored at least 20 points with Joshua Blaylock and Rasmus Bach leading the team with 21 points each.  Will Morse came off the bench to add 13 points.  Morse made all seven of his free throw attempts.  Blaylock netted 6 of 8 field goals, 4 of 5 three-point field goals and all five free throw attempts.
 
The Skyhawks held West Texas without a field goal for the final three minutes and 54 seconds.
 
Fort Lewis shot a solid 50.9 percent from the floor (29 of 57).
 
FLC will play host to Eastern New Mexico Saturday night at 6 p.m.
