ALAMOSA, Colo. – December 5, 2015 – The Fort Lewis College men's basketball team suffered their first loss of the season Saturday night at Adams State University, 73-65. The game marked the first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game of the season for both teams.
The Grizzlies (2-4, 1-0 RMAC) led for more than 21 minutes in the game and held their largest lead (eight points) in the first half.
FLC (5-1, 0-1 RMAC) trailed by four points at the half, 34-30, but used an 8-0 run in the second half to regain the lead. ASU responded to hold the Skyhawks scoreless in the final 1:14 of regulation as the Grizzlies closed out the game on a 9-0 run to seal the win, 73-65.
Rasmus Bach made 6 of 13 field goals and all four free throws for a team high 16 points.
Joshua Blaylock added 13 points and three steals and
Cade Kloster chipped in 11 points and two assists.
Jared Smith pulled down a game high 11 rebounds and dished out a game high four assists.
FLC will return home to play host to Colorado School of Mines on Friday and Colorado Christian University on Saturday at Whalen Gymnasium.
