Fort Lewis College will travel to Chadron, Neb. and Denver, Colo. to play their first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matches of the season.

Both Chadron State College and Regis University are in the RMAC Rocky Division. The Skyhawks compete in the RMAC Mountain Division.

This weekend's matches will mark the Skyhawks ninth and 10th straight matches away from Whalen Gymnasium.

Friday's opponent, Chadron State College, will open their home season against the Skyhawks. The Eagles finished the pre-season with a 1-7 record.

The Skyhawks hold a 22-8 all-time series record against Chadron State, and a 6-4 record when playing the Eagles on their home court. FLC currently owns a seven game winning streak over CSC. The last time the two teams met was Oct. 12, 2013 at CSC (FLC won, 3-0).

FLC will face Regis University on Friday. Both teams enter the weekend with a 3-5 record. The Rangers went 2-2 in their season opening tournament, but dropped 3-of-4 matches at the Colorado Premier.

The Rangers have a 27-8 series lead over the Skyhawks. FLC is 3-11 when facing RU on their home court. RU has won the last seven matchups against the Skyhawks. The last time the Skyhawks defeated Regis was Oct. 2, 2008 (3-2). The last time FLC defeated the Rangers on their home court was Oct. 2, 2005 (3-0).

Fort Lewis dropped all four matches this past weekend at the California State University, San Bernardino Coyote Classic. FLC faced Cal Poly Pomona (3-1), CSU, Dominguez Hills (3-0), CSU, East Bay (3-1) and CSU, San Bernardino (3-0).

Matisse Monty led the Skyhawks offense in California with 3.14 kills per game and a .175 attack percentage. She also added four assists, four aces, seven block assists and the second most digs per set (3.50). Monty has the ninth most kills in the RMAC, averaging 3.10 kills per set through 30 sets.

Libero
Ally Dell'Amico led all Skyhawks with 4.93 digs per set. In 30 sets played this season, she ranks third in the conference with 5.03 digs per set.

Gabriella Hickman's nine aces this season (0.33 aces per set) are tied for the ninth most among conference teams.

Gabriella Hickman were named to the 2015 OPSU Aggies Challenge All-Tournament Team.

Head coach
Kelley Rifilato is in her third year at the helm of the program. She has guided the Skyhawks to an 18-36 overall record in her first two years.

Assisting head coach
Kelley Rifilato is first year assistant coach
Gabriella Hochanadel. Hochanadel is the daughter of Rifilato. She played for her mother at Bayfield High School before becoming an all-conference setter at Adams State University.Â
Tessa Andrews also enters her third year on the sidelines with Rifilato. Andrews was an All-RMAC performer at Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University) from 2007-2010.
