Quick HitsThe Fort Lewis College men's basketball team suffered only their second loss of the season Friday night at Colorado Christian University, 90-73. Â The 80 points are the third most scored against the Skyhawks, and the most in a loss by FLC. Â CCU recorded opponent season highs Friday night against FLC, making 56 percent in field goals (28 of 50), most made three-pointers (12), and the highest three-point shooting percentage (63.2 percent, 12 of 19).
The Skyhawks responded to Friday night's setback to shoot 51 percent from the floor at Colorado Mines (26 of 51), the second best shooting percentage this season. Â FLC also netted a season best 48 percent from downtown, hitting on 12 of 25 attempts to complete the regular season sweep over the Orediggers.
Kofi Josephs led the Skyhawks in scoring for the first time this season, netting 24 points at CSM. Â The 24 points are the third most this season by a Skyhawk (26 by
Will Morse Vs. Eastern New Mexico).
FLC enters the weekend leading the league in free throw percentage (76.8 percent), scoring margin (10.8), three-point field goals per game (10.4), turnover margin (2.9) and win/loss percentage (85.7 percent).
CMU leads the league in assist/turnover ratio (1.32), assists per game (16.7), defensive rebounds per game (29.1) and field goal percentage defense (42.2 percent). Â The Mavericks have won five of their last six games and are 4-2 at home this season.
The Griffins, who are in their first year as a full member of the RMAC, are 8-5 overall and 4-5 in RMAC games. Â WC is 1-4 in their last five games and own a 5-3 record at home.
