VideoQuick HitsThe Fort Lewis College men's basketball team recorded only their third loss of the season Friday night at Colorado Mesa University. Â The Skyhawks fell to the Mavericks, 75-72, but bounced back to defeat Westminster College the next day, 89-74. Â All three losses this season have come on the road for FLC.
After playing their last four games on the road, the Skyhawks return to Whalen Gymnasium this week to play host to Western New Mexico University and New Mexico Highlands University. Â FLC will play seven of the final regular season 11 games at home.
Friday's opponent, the Mustangs, are coming off their first win of the season. Â WNMU snapped a 15-game losing streak to defeat Chadron State College at home on Saturday, 74-70.
FLC will face the top team in the league on Saturday, New Mexico Highlands. Â The Cowboys have a one game lead over the Skyhawks with a 9-2 RMAC record (10-7 overall).
Will Morse notched his first start of the season on Saturday at Westminster College. Â Morse scored 23 points against the Griffins after netting 7 of 10 from the floor and 6 of 9 from long range.
