Kofi Josephs scored a career high 24 points to lead the No. 16 Fort Lewis College men's basketball team to a 76-59 win at Colorado School of Mines Saturday night Lockridge Arena in Golden, Colo.
FLC improves to 12-2 overall and 7-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Orediggers move to 10-5 on the year and 5-4 in league games.
Josephs came off the bench to make 9 of 12 field goals in 26 minutes of action. Fifteen of his points came from long range where he sank 5 of 8 from behind the arc.
Austin Haldorson netted 3 of 4 field goals, 2 of 3 from three-point range and both free throw attempts for 10 points.
Jared Smith hit a layup with 13:37 left in the first half to give FLC their first lead of the game, 9-8. FLC would hang onto that lead for the rest of the game.
The Skyhawks were solid in field goal shooting, netting 26 of 51 attempts for 51 percent. They hit 12 of 25 three-point field goals for 48 percent and missed only two of 14 free throw attempts (85.7 percent).
The Skyhawks out-rebound Colorado Mines, 31-26. FLC gained their largest lead of the game, 26 points, with 5:26 left in regulation.
Fort Lewis will travel to Colorado Mesa University on Jan. 15 and Westminster College on Jan. 16.
