Five Skyhawks Score in Double Figures in 25-Point Win

DURANGO, Colo. – December 3, 2016 – Five Fort Lewis College men's basketball players scored in double figures Saturday night as the Skyhawks posted a 96-71 win over New Mexico Highlands University at Whalen Gymnasium.  The win was the Skyhawks 23rd consecutive home win.
 
Rasmus Bach led all scorers with 24 points after making 9-of-16 field goals and 5-of-8 from the free throw line. 
 
Brandon Wilson was near perfect from the floor, netting 8-of-9 field goals for 16 points to go with his six rebounds, two blocked shots and steal. 
 
Joshua Blaylock also netted 16 points and Will Morse chipped in 15 points.  Morse made 5-of-7 field goals, 3-of-4 three-point field goals and both free throw attempts while dishing out a game high seven assists.
 
Jalen Terry came off the bench to hit every attempt for 11 points.  He was 3-for-3 from the floor including a three-pointer, and 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.  Alex Semadeni was also flawless from the floor, making all three field goal attempts and both free throw attempts and eight points. Semadeni also contributed six rebounds, three steals, one blocked shot and an assist. 
 
The Skyhawks were outrebounded by 10, 40-30, including 20-5 on the offensive glass.  As a result, NMHU outscored FLC on second chance points, 25-5.
 
Fort Lewis was solid offensively, making 61.4 percent from the floor and 47.4 percent from long range.  They also added 17 free throws and dished out 20 assists.
 
The Skyhawks (7-1, 2-0 RMAC) will face Colorado Mesa University and Western State Colorado University on the road Dec. 9-10.
