RAPID CITY, S.D. – February 5, 2016 – It took 10 minutes of overtime, but the Fort Lewis College women's basketball team prevailed at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, 75-69, Friday night at King Center. Tonight's overtime game marked the Skyhawks second overtime game of the season and first double overtime game. FLC improves to 13-8 overall and 9-7 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Jason Flores. "This was a tough game on the road and we came out with a win under a lot of adversity. Alyssa (Yocky) was huge again battling through her injury to produce, and I'm proud of the team as a whole to keep battling to win."
Alyssa Yocky hit a jumper with 1:32 left in regulation to tie the game at 52-52. On the next possession,
Dallas Dickerson stole the ball and scored a fast break layup for a 54-52 lead, but the Hardrockers Megan Rohrer tied the game with 28 seconds left to send it to overtime.
In the first overtime period, Dickerson netted the second of two free throw attempts to put the Skyhawks lead to 62-58 with 48 ticks left, but South Dakota Mines finished the period with two field goals to tie the game at 62-62 after 45 minutes of action.
FLC took control in the second overtime period, outscoring the Hardrockers 13-7. Yocky scored seven of the Skyhawks 13 points on three made free throws and two field goals.
Yocky led the Skyhawks with a career high 21 points after making 8-of-13 field goals and 5-of-6 free throws. Yocky recorded her second career double-double after pulling down 11 rebounds, one shy of tying her career high.
Astrea Reed netted 7-of-18 field goals and 2-of-3 three-point field goals as part of her 17 points while grabbing a career high nine rebounds.
Dallas Dickerson added 16 points after sinking 6-of-13 field goals and 4-of-5 free throws.
FLC made 29-of-84 field goals for 34.5 percent and 4-of-15 three-pointers for 26.7 percent.
The Skyhawks will travel to Black Hills State University Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m.
