DENVER – January 6, 2017 – The 20th-ranked Fort Lewis College men's basketball team dropped an 80-65 decision Friday night at MSU Denver, marking the first time since the 2013-14 the Skyhawks lost back-to-back road games.
The Skyhawks (12-3, 7-2 RMAC) trailed by three at halftime, 36-33, but were outscored in the second half, 44-32.
MSU Denver attempted 14 more free throws than the Skyhawks, making 16-of-21 compared to FLC's six made free throws on seven attempts.
Fort Lewis was outrebounded by 18, 48-30, including 19-6 on the offensive end of the court. The Roadrunners sank 20 second chance points as FLC converted five second chance points.
Joshua Blaylock paced FLC with 21 points, 15 of which came from three-point range (5-of-11).
Rasmus Bach chipped in 15 points on 5-of-15 field goal shooting. He is six points away from reaching the 1,000-point milestone.
Will Morse and Bach dished out a team high four assists.
Cameron Williams of MSU Denver led all scorers with 28 points.
The Skyhawks will travel to UCCS Saturday night to face the Mountain Lions at 7:30 p.m.
