DURANGO – December 29, 2017 – Nine steals and eight blocks helped pave the way for the No. 22 Fort Lewis College men's basketball team to an 88-65 home win over Chadron State College Friday night.
The win improves FLC to 10-2 on the season and 6-1 in league games. CSC drops to 3-10 overall and 1-6 in the RMAC.
Kane Martinez paced FLC with four steals and a blocked shot.
Riley Farris came off the bench to tally three blocked shots. Seven of his nine rebounds were on the defensive glass.
Collin Weaver paced the Skyhawks with a career high 15 points. He made 5-of-8 from the floor, 2-of-3 from the three-point line and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe.
Rasmus Bach and
Marquel Beasley each posted 12 points. Bach made all eight free throw attempts and dished out three assists. Beasley pulled down 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season.
The Skyhawks finished the game making almost 50 percent from the floor (31-of-63), including a 54.5 field goal percentage mark in the second half.
FLC will play their third straight home game Saturday night against Regis University. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
