DURANGO, Colo. – February 10, 2017 – The 12
th-ranked Fort Lewis College men's basketball team recorded a 95-70 win Friday night over visiting Western State Colorado University, earning their 29
th straight win at home and their ninth straight win this season.
After tonight's 25-point win, the Skyhawks improve to 21-3 overall and 16-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. WSCU moves to 5-17 overall and 4-14 in league games.
Four Skyhawks scored at least 11 points with
Rasmus Bach netting a game high 24 points. Bach missed only two field goals on 12 attempts and made 4-of-6 three-point field goals. He also grabbed the second most rebounds in the game with seven.
Joshua Blaylock chipped in 16 points, three assists and two steals.
Brandon Wilson was one point shy of tying a career high with 15 points. Wilson made 6-of-8 field goals to go with eight caroms and two blocked shots.
Will Morse dished out a game high 10 assists and added 11 points for his first career double-double. He also matched a career high in rebounds with seven.
FLC grabbed nine more rebounds than Western State, 37-29, and scored 19 second chance points to WSCU's three. FLC forced 22 turnovers that resulted in 23 points.
FLC finished the game shooting 53.8 percent for the floor (35-of-65) and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe (14-of-16).
The Skyhawks will face Colorado Mesa University Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in Whalen Gymnasium.
