DURANGO, Colo. – February 21, 2017 – Behind
Brandon Wilson's double-double and
Joshua Blaylock's 20 points, the 14
th-ranked Fort Lewis College men's basketball team rolled past Adams State University Tuesday night in Whalen Gymnasium, 80-65.
With tonight's win, the Skyhawks improve to 23-4 overall and 18-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Grizzlies drop to 12-15 overall and 9-12 in the league.
Wilson finished the game with 10 points and 12 rebounds for his fifth double-double this season. Blaylock hit 4-of-6 from downtown as part of his 20 points and added a game high four assists.
Rasmus Bach netted 7-of-11 field goals and all three free throws for 17 points. All eight of his rebounds were on the defensive end of the court.
Fort Lewis sank 30-of-58 field goals for 51.7 percent and 6-of-14 three-point field goals for 42.9 percent.
FLC took their largest lead of the game (25 points) with 8:49 left in regulation. The Skyhawks never trailed in the game and led the Grizzlies for nearly 39 minutes.
The Skyhawks will head to Westminster College Friday night in the final game of the regular season. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
