Four Skyhawks Score in Double Figures for Eighth Straight Win

PUEBLO, Colo. – Four Fort Lewis College men's basketball players scored in double figures Saturday night to record an 84-75 win at Colorado State University-Pueblo.  The win marked the eighth straight victory for the 14th-ranked Skyhawks as they improve to 20-3 overall and 15-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
 
The ThunderWolves jumped out to a 15-6 lead before FLC went on a 25-8 run to take a 31-23 lead with 5:32 left in the first half and a 40-38 lead at halftime.  The Skyhawks came out of halftime to start the second half outscoring CSUP, 11-4, for a 51-40 lead.  FLC's largest lead of the game came with 5:15 left in regulation, 70-65.
 
Senior guard Joshua Blaylock led all scorers with 25 points.  Blaylock made 7-of-15 field goals and all nine free throw attempts.
 
Alex Semadeni had a career night with his first double-double.  Semadeni tied a career high with 15 points and pulled down a career high 11 rebounds.  Semadeni went 6-for-6 from the floor and 3-for-3 from the charity stripe.
 
Rasmus Bach connected on 5-of-8 field goals to go with four rebounds and two assists.  Riley Farris came off the bench to contribute 12 points after making 4-of-5 field goals and 3-of-4 free throws.
 
Fort Lewis shot a season best 61.2 percent from the floor after making 30-of-49 field goals.  They added 19-of-25 free throws for 76 percent.
 
FLC pulled down six more rebounds than the Pack, 35-29.  CSUP netted 20 points in the paint, 50-30, but the Skyhawks bench outscored CSUP, 31-22.
 
The Skyhawks will begin a four game homestand next weekend when the face Western State on Feb. 10 and Colorado Mesa University of Feb. 11.
