SPEARFISH, S.D. – January 12, 2018 – Black Hills State University downed the No. 21 Fort Lewis College men's basketball team Friday night in Spearfish, S.D., 67-64. The loss was only the third setback of the season for the Skyhawks as they move to 13-3 overall and 9-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Three Skyhawks scored in double figures with
Brandon Wilson leading the team with 16 points. He added eight rebounds and made 7-of-12 from the floor.
Rasmus Bach chipped in 11 points after making 6-of-8 from the charity stripe. He pulled down six rebounds, dished out three assists, blocked two shots and stole the ball three times.
Riley Farris hit 3-of-5 field goals and 4-of-5 free throws for 10 points while pulling down six rebounds in 14 minutes of action.
The Skyhawks finished the game hitting 38.5 percent from the floor (20-of-52) and 20-of-31 from the free throw line (64.5 percent).
Black Hills State (9-5, 6-4 RMAC) was led by Makaleb McInnis' 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Fort Lewis will face South Dakota Mines on Saturday in Rapid City, S.D. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
