CHADRON, Neb. – January 20, 2018 – Solid shooting by the Fort Lewis College men's basketball team led to a 96-69 win at Chadron State College Saturday night in Chadron, Neb. The Skyhawks hit 41-of-66 from the floor for a season best 62.1 field goal shooting mark.
Six Skyhawks scored in double figures with
Marquel Beasley leading the team with 15 points. Beasley made 7-of-9 field goals and added nine rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots.
Brandon Wilson and
Daniel Hernandez each scored 14 points, combining to go 13-for-19 from the floor.
Rasmus Bach posted 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals, while
Riley Farris and
Collin Weaver chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Skyhawks improved on their 57.1 field goal percentage in the first half, to record a 67.7 shooting percentage in the second half.
The Eagles (3-16, 1-12 RMAC) were led by Jordan Mills 19 points.
FLC (16-3, 12-2 RMAC) will play host to Colorado Christian University on Jan. 27 at 3 p.m.
