Yocky, Ornduff Named Student-Athletes of the Week

Senior Alyssa Yocky and sophomore Erik Ornduff were named student-athletes of the week.

Yocky led the Skyhawks averaging 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds, along with two assists and four steals. Yocky went for a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds against Eastern New Mexico and also made 7-11 from the field and 4-4 from the foul line. She also swiped four steals. Against Western New Mexico, Yocky went 7-12 from the field, added a three-pointer, went 4-4 from the foul line and had four rebounds and two assists while scoring 19 points. She went 14-23 from the field for the week (61) and went a perfect 8-8 from the foul line.

Ornduff battled back from injury to put on a show for the Skyhawks in their final game of the season against South Dakota Mines. He completed 13-19 for 245 yards and three touchdowns, with a long pass of 65 yards going to Arealous Hughes for a score. He also found Ta'Jon Mondy-Smith and Mason Hatton for touchdowns. If that wasn't enough, he added 41 rushing yards and a touchdown, with a long carry of 13 yards. Ornduff pushed FLC in front in overtime when he tallied his rushing score after completing a big pass down to the goal line to Hughes.
