SHAWNEE, Okla. – March 9, 2018 – Seven Fort Lewis College women's lacrosse players scored at least two goals Friday night as the Skyhawks defeated Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Okla., 19-3.
The win improves FLC to 2-4 on the season and 2-1 in league games. OBU moves to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the RMAC.
Kelli Warmouth and
Ann Nelson led the Skyhawks offense with three goals each.
Brooke Galle,
Regan Olson,
Taylor Cabrera,
Shelby Madden and
Delaney Benson each netted two goals apiece. Olson recorded the lone assist for FLC.
FLC jumped out to an 8-0 lead halfway through the first half before OBU scored their first goal of the game. By halftime, the Skyhawks held an 11 goal lead, 12-1.
Warmouth won five draw controls and
Makenzie Webster came off the bench to win three more.
FLC outshot the Bison, 29-16.
The Skyhawks will return to action next Saturday, March 17 at UCCS.
