Marpaung Earns Don Hansen All-Super Region Four Honors

BROOKFIELD, Ill. – Junior George Marpaung continued to bring in the accolades as he took home Second Team Don Hansen All-Super Region Four honors.

Marpaung adds the Don Hansen honor after already being named to the All-Colorado Team and to the All-RMAC First Team for the second straight year as the 5-foot-10, 287-pound defensive lineman from Aurora, Colo., was a force all year long on the defensive line, piling up 14 tackles for a loss of 46 yards. He ended up with 45 total tackles, with 19 solo, along with 1.5 sacks and four quarterback hurries in starting all 10 games. Marpaung was fifth in the RMAC and 46th nationally in tackles for loss per game (1.4). He finished the season in style, tying for his season-high in tackles with seven against South Dakota Mines. He also reached seven against Colorado Mesa. Marpaung had at least two tackles for loss on five different occasions, going for a high of four versus Western Colorado.
