Trujillo Transfers Back Home to Play for Football

DURANGO, Colo. – Terrence Trujillo, a Durango High School graduate, will return to Durango to play for the Fort Lewis College football team after signing a National Letter of Intent to transfer from Eastern New Mexico.

Trujillo, a 5-foot-11, 200-pound quarterback/running back, spent the past three seasons in Portales, after redshirting in 2016 and playing each of the past two seasons. This past season, Trujillo played in four games, rushing seven times for 39 yards, with a long carry of 11 yards. He carried six times for 37 yards against Western New Mexico. Trujillo also added a kick return against nationally-ranked Tarleton State.

During his time at Durango High School, Trujillo was a First Team All-Conference Pikes Peak League selection during his junior and senior seasons. He was named the Offensive MVP after his senior season and he also played basketball, which he was named First Team All-Conference South Western League.
