The Skyhawks had several compete in the 5,000-meter with Rhylyn Jones leading the way with a time of 19:50.75 to place her in fifth. Jessica Ramirez wasn't far behind as her time of 20:11.90 placed her in seventh. Makiah Salzano collected a ninth-place finish with a time of 20:30.54. Dorothy Elder was just a few seconds back with a time of 20:37.97 to come in 11th. "The wind kicked up quite a bit for the 5k's so the times aren't representative of the effort," Head Coach Joshua Coon said. "Both men and women's 5k squads competed and worked together for 2 miles and long term that's going to pay off, that pack mentality. Special shout out to our women (Jessica, Makiah, Dorothy, Karla, Rose, and Rhylyn) for working together and competing strong."

In the 400-meter hurdles, Krista Benze and Kranz finished back-to-back with Benze crossing in eighth with a time of 1:16.23 and Kranz in ninth with a time of 1:16.64.

Benze, Curley, Borneo and Sargent then teamed up to race in the 4x400 relay as the foursome clocked a time of 4:28.95 to come in third.

On the men's side, Tyler Gibson continues to push in the 800-meter as he came close to a top-five finish before crossing in sixth with a time of 1:59.60.

"Tyler is so close to breaking through in that 800. He's won his last two heats, we just need to get him in the right race next time," Coon said. "He competes fearlessly and that's what we love."

Bismarck Kipkilach led several Skyhawks in the 1,500-meter posting a time of 4:18.76 to come in 13th. Hunter Byram was right behind in 14th with a time of 4:19.19. Andrew Rome was right behind Byram in 15th with a time of 4:20.15 and then Steven Nez made it four straight Skyhawks to finish in a row when he crossed in 16th with a time of 4:20.75. "Bismarck is getting where we know he should be," Coon said. "He competed with heart in both the 1500 and 5k and that's what we want to be about."

In the 5,000-meter, Nez led several Skyhawks in the event when he crossed in ninth with a time of 16:55.30. Kipkilach was the next one in coming in 10th with a time of 17:14.07.
