SERIES VS SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE
Friday's regional matchup with the Savage Storm will mark the first meeting between the two programs. Southeastern Oklahoma is a member of the Great American Conference, and the final regional hurdle for the Skyhawks this season.

SCOUTING THE SAVAGE STORM
SOSU is 1-1 to open the season after splitting at the Great American Conference/Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference challenge back on Nov. 11-12. The Savage Storm won its season opener against Wayne State College 91-78 but could not overcome the #21 Minnesota State-Moorhead Dragons, falling 83-76.

Historically a strong program in the GAC, SOSU finished the 2021-22 season with a 24-6 overall record, winning the regular season conference title. However, the Savage Storm could not maintain its success into the postseason, falling to Southern Nazarene in the GAC Tournament Championship 77-74.

Averaging 83.5 points per game shooting 48.8% from the field, 38.1% from the three-point line, and 96.4% at the free-throw line, Southeastern Oklahoma State is a powerful offense. Spearheading the starting five for SOSU is sophomore guard Brennen Burns. The five-foot-ten Oklahoma native has scored 27 and 24 points in his first two games respectively. In the post, Kyle Leslie will look to do damage off the glass. The six-foot-seven junior forward averages 11.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

SERIES VS NAVAJO TECH
Saturday's final non-conference matchup of the year will be the first meeting between the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis and the Skyhawks of Navajo Technical University. A newly established program, the 2022-23 season is the inaugural year for NTU. The Skyhawks are a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and will compete for a chance to appear in the USCAA Small College National Championship at the end of the season.

LAST TIME OUT
Fort Lewis remains hot with a 4-0 record alongside a statement win over Texas Permian Basin at home 104-75. Led by Akuel Kot's 45-point record-breaking performance, the Skyhawks powered past the Falcons last Saturday. Obi Agbim and Junior Garbrah each had 14 points against UTPB while JaQuaylon Mays led the roster with 11 boards.

SKYHAWKS LEADERS
Kot stands atop not just the Skyhawks or the RMAC, but the nation. Averaging 28.8 points per game, Kot is currently the third-highest scorer in all of Division II, and fifth across all NCAA Divisions (I, II, and III). Additionally, Fort Lewis has two players who average double-digit points in Garbrah (11.0) and Brenden Boatwright (11.8). Off the glass Boatwright is tied with Mays for 5.5 rebounds per game while Sekou Dembele leads the roster with an average of 6.0.

LOOKING AHEAD
Next week marks the beginning of the Rocky Mount Athletic Conference schedule. Fort Lewis will open conference play on the road, returning to Plachy Hall for a matchup with the Adams State Grizzlies on Thursday, Dec. 1. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
