Last Time Out
The Skyhawks are coming off of Monday's game with mixed emotions following the 75-62 victory over Northern New Mexico College. While Fort Lewis put up a massive 51-point opening half on the back of 50 percent shooting, FLC could not find the same grove in the second half giving up 14 turnovers and tallying just 24 points. As for individual performances, Brayden Carter was dominant in the post per usual with 12 rebounds while Obi Agbim led a quartet of Skyhawks to finish in double figures with 15 points. Samier Kinsler and Amondo Miller Jr. each scored a season-high 11 points while Tristan Hurdle provided the final 10.

Fort Lewis Leaders
Agbim has taken control of the Skyhawks' offense this season averaging 16.8 points alongside 4.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.4 steals per game. In addition, the six-foot-three guard has not scored below 12 points this season. Carter, the go-to man down low, currently ranks seventh in the conference for rebounds per game (8.2) and first for blocks per game (1.8).

Scouting the Mountaineers
Western Colorado rides into the week following a 76-75 heartbreaking loss on the road at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (2-2). The Mountaineers, led by the trio of Avery Rembao, Kade, Juelfs, and Xavier Harris who scored 19, 17, and 14 points, respectively, out-shot the Lopers from beyond the arc and at the charity stripe. However, after UNK took the lead with 40 seconds remaining, WCU could not get either of its final two shots to fall.

Rembao leads the Mountaineers with 11.6 points per game while adding four assists and steals on the year. Xavier Harris (10.4) and Juelfs (10.2) also average double-digit points per game. In the post, Jamel Hollins has grabbed an average of 6.4 rebounds a game while adding another 6.2 points per game. As a unit, Western Colorado is shooting at clips of .417/.349/.667 and averaging 16.6 turnovers.

Scouting the Grizzlies
Adams State – a familiar face from the Skyhawks Hardwood Classic this season – has struggled as of late dropping its last four games after starting the season a hot 2-0. The Grizzlies dropped a pair of games over the holiday break at the University of Alaska Anchorage (8-0) by 83-67 and 66-52 margins.

Redshirt senior Destan Williams has taken command of the offense, guiding ASU to shooting at clips of .430/.280/.767 as a unit while providing 16.8 points per game himself. Austin Fadal joins Williams as the only other Grizzly to average double-digit points per game (10.7). Adams State has struggled in the post, however, averaging just 29 rebounds a game while losing the rebound margin by -4.8.

Home Sweet Home
Tuesday's game against Adams State marks the beginning of a five-game home stand for the Skyhawks. Fort Lewis will host New Mexico Highlands University (3-2) the following Friday, Dec. 8, at 7:00 p.m. with Colorado State University Pueblo (4-2) coming to town the next day, Saturday, Dec. 9, for a 6:00 p.m. match-up.
