COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released its women's lacrosse All-Conference teams on Thursday with five Fort Lewis College players earning recognition.

Representing the Skyhawks on the Second Team were senior Rebecca Kiyokawa and junior Haley Dostie. Kiyokawa earns her second-straight Second Team nod and third All-Conference accolade of her career after making First Team as a sophomore. The defender totaled a career-high 40 draw controls to go along with 23 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. She had a pair of caused turnovers in four league contests and a career-high nine draw controls in a win over CSU Pueblo.

Kiyokawa ends her career having played in 43 games with 41 starts. Her 107 career ground balls rank fifth all-time in program history. The Oregon native also ranks fifth in career-caused turnovers with 53 and third in draw controls with 102.

Dostie makes the Second Team for the first time after an Honorable Mention season in 2022. The junior proved to be a prolific scorer for the Skyhawks this spring, netting 45 goals to go along with seven assists. Her goal total ranks second all-time in single-season Skyhawks history, behind Ally Kvidera's 47 goals in 2012. Her goals per game average of 3.46 ranked second in the conference.

Dostie had 11 multi-goal games this season, including two seven-goal efforts throughout RMAC play. She has played in 41 career games, starting in 40, and owns 102 career goals to rank fifth all-time. In addition to her goal-scoring ability, Dostie ranked second on the team with 22 draw controls while accruing 22 ground balls and eight caused turnovers.

Three additional Skyhawks were named to the Honorable Mention team, including senior goalkeeper Averi Basso. This season marks her third All-Conference accolade after earning First Team and Co-Goalkeeper of the Year nods in 2022 and Second Team recognition in 2021. This season, Basso racked up 130 saves while facing 396 shots. Her goals-against average of 14.14 marks a career-best for the Oregon native.

Her 10 saves per game were good for second in the conference this season, and her saves percentage of .430 was fourth. Basso played 43 games and over 2000 minutes for the Skyhawks and ranks second all-time with an even 400 career saves to her credit. Her career saves percentage sits fifth in program history while her 101 career ground balls also rank fifth.

Senior Makena Carter finds herself on an All-Conference team for the first time in her career after playing and starting all 13 games on defense. She battled back from injury to earn a career-best 19 ground balls to go along with six caused turnovers. Carter had a career-high four ground balls on March 10 versus Colorado Mesa while also earning a career mark of three caused turnovers this season against Bates College.

Wrapping up the All-Conference members for Fort Lewis is freshman Samantha Rodgers, a freshman defender out of Boise, Idaho. Rodgers was a welcome addition to the defense this season, joining a veteran backline and making an immediate impact. She started all 13 games to tally 25 ground balls, 20 caused turnovers, and ended the season with her first career goal.

Her 20 caused turnovers (1.54/game) ranks fourth in the conference and tied for seventh in single-season program history. Rodgers had six games with two or more ground balls, including three, three caused turnover outings.

Regis' Lucy Johnson and Lily Ferguson were named Attacker of the Year and Midfielder of the Year, respectively. Defensive Player of the Year went to Colorado Mesa's Kelsey Vigor, and UCCS closed it out with Goalie of the Year going to Madison McGriff and Brielle Fannin being named Freshman of the Year.
