Skyhawks indoor track enjoys success at first meet of 2024

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Fort Lewis College men's and women's indoor track and field teams had a strong showing in elite company at the loaded New Mexico Team Open, hosted by the University of New Mexico at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

The Skyhawks saw competitors in the 60m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1 mile, 3000m, and 4x400m relay.

Up Next
Fort Lewis will be back in Gunnison next weekend for the Big Red Machine on Saturday, February 3. Competition will be held within the Mountaineer Field House, a structure that was completed in the spring of 2014. It is located at 7,717 feet and is the highest collegiate indoor track in the world. There are six 42" lanes on the oval and nine 42" lanes on the straightaway. Timing for the meet will be done by Finish Lynx Automatic timing.
