Freshman Brody Hubbard turned in a 19th-place finish in the 1500m at the APU Last Chance Meet

Two tracksters compete at Franson Last Chance Meet

AZUSA, Calif. – Skyhawks outdoor track sent a pair of student-athletes to the Franson Last Chance Meet, hosted by Azusa Pacific University, with representation in the women's 10k and men's 1500m.

Junior Alliyah Molina began the meet with the women's 10k late in the night on Friday. The RMAC runner-up was in it with the lead pack, even clocking the fastest split in the field at the 2k mark, but unfortunately had to withdraw after the 5200m split due to injury.

Freshman Brody Hubbard toed the line Saturday night in the men's 1500m, racing in heat 13 in the overall field of 167 entries. Hubbard placed seventh in his heat and 19^th overall with a time of 3:47.03—1.24 seconds of his personal best. The freshman recorded the seventh-fastest time among NCAA DII competitors in the field.
