Caprietta Abbadessa, Mikki Brown, and Caley Lay wre named to the CSC Academic All-District Team

Women’s lacrosse trio earn spots CSC Academic All-District Team

DURANGO, Colo. -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly known as CoSIDA, have released their At-Large Academic All-District teams with the women's lacrosse trio of Caprietta Abbadessa, Mikki Brown, and Caley Lay earning recognition.

The honor is the second of Abbadessa's career after the recently graduated senior wrapped up her career with a 3.90 GPA while studying Sport Administration. Brown and Lay make the All-District team for the first time after earning Academic Honor Roll distinction in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference this season. Brown boasts a 3.83 GPA in Political Science while Lay owns a 3.82 GPA in Exercise Science.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Select Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, and Sorenson has been chosen to advance for All-America consideration. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
