10/7/2025 4:26:00 PM

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Fort Lewis men's golf team wrapped up the National Preview, hosted by the University of Missouri-St. Louis, on Tuesday afternoon, firing off a 296 (+8) en route to a combined 881 (+17) to finish tied for 14th at Boulder Creek Golf Club.

The Skyhawks carded their lowest round of the tournament through the 7,628-yard, par-72 Desert Hawk and Coyote Run rotation, which boasts a rating of 75.8 and a slope of 142. At 881 overall, Fort Lewis tied with Cal State San Marcos and edged Western New Mexico (883, +19) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (888, +24). Lynn University came out hot in the final round, shooting 11-under-par to finish at 836 (-28) overall and snatch team medalist honors from second-place and No. 25-ranked Midwestern State 838 (-26).

On the individual leaderboard, it was Midwestern State's Seth Bearden, who trailed by one stroke entering the final round, that remained poised and shot a 4-under 68 en route to a 13-under-par 203 final score to capture the individual medalist by two strokes. Senior Jordan Jennings was the closest Skyhawk in a tie for 39th, and the only one to finish with an even par of 216. Despite a few bogeys creeping in, Jennings managed an eagle on hole five and another four birdies to finish his last round with an even 72.

Freshman Chase Rogers had quite the performance, matching Traejan Andrews for the second-best scores among Skyhawks in a tie for 70th. Rogers scored a two-over 74, notching three-straight rounds of three-over-par or better, while Andrews brought in a tournament-low 76 (+4). The duo stood at 223 (+7) overall.

Benjamin Harding rounded out Fort Lewis team scoring, earning a tie for 78th on a 226 (+10) with eight birdies and one eagle for the tournament. Ian Henderson finished just three strokes back in 84th with a 13-over 229. Dallin Stephens, who competed unattached, carded a 233 (+17) en route to a tie for 89th.
