COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Freshman goalkeeper Trinity Lujan was named the RMAC Freshman of the Year — the first Fort Lewis College player to earn the honor since 2007 — as six Skyhawks collected All-Conference selections, the league announced Tuesday.

Lujan burst onto the scene in the conference and at the national level with her play in goal, ranking seventh in NCAA DII in goals against average at .346 heading into the RMAC Tournament Semifinals on Wednesday. Her saves percentage is third in the country (.905) and her 12 complete shutouts are fourth in the country. Combined with the Skyhawks defense, the Skyhawks have 10-straight shutouts and rank fifth in the country in goals against average. Lujan was also named All-Conference Honorable Mention for her efforts.

Four players were named Second-Team All-Conference, starting with junior forward Jenna Salazar. Salazar has been the leading scorer for Fort Lewis this season, totaling eight goals and four assists for 20 points. She ranks sixth in the conference in goals per game (.44) and points per game (1.11) and ninth in assists per game (.22). Senior Anna Tucker joined her on the Second Team with seven goals and three assists (17 points). Tucker has enjoyed a breakout season offensively after carrying just two career goals into her senior campaign.

Junior Ann Spence earned her first career honors with a Second Team All-Conference nod after patrolling the midfield all season long. Spence is a workhorse for the squad, ranking third on the roster in minutes played (1506) and guiding the team on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Senior Renee Junna is the final player on the Second Team after a defensive season that featured a team-best 1529 minutes played. Junna's effort, alongside the entire defensive backline, has led to a program record season in shutouts (13), goals against average (.33), and more.

Senior Abigail Nkrumah joins Lujan on the Honorable Mention list after a two goal, two assist season. Nkrumah has logged 1146 minutes on the field and leads the team in fouls drawn. A crafty and active player on the ball, the senior is often in the mix when it comes to chaos in the attacking third.

Fort Lewis (11-4-3) has advanced to the RMAC Tournament Semifinals for the second-consecutive season and will face No. 23 Colorado Mesa University on the Mavericks' home pitch in Grand Junction.
