*Update as of Wednesday evening–with Colorado State University Pueblo's 4-2 win over the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, Fort Lewis falls into a tie for 6th-place on the RMAC Regular Season standings with 17 total points alongside Colorado Mesa University. However, since the Mavericks defeated the Skyhawks head-to-head, CMU captured the final spot in the RMAC Tournament, ending Fort Lewis' 2025 campaign.

The Skyhawks climb to 9-4-4 overall, 5-3-2 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play, and into sixth-place in the league's standings with 17 conference points, barring results later tonight. To retain its position and earn a berth in the 2025 RMAC Tournament, the Skyhawks need No. 19-ranked University of Colorado Colorado Springs (9-4-4, 7-1-1 RMAC) to defeat or draw with No. 14-ranked Colorado State University Pueblo (8-2-7, 4-2-3 RMAC) over in Pueblo, Colo., tonight at 7 p.m.

Fort Lewis dominated the match in all facets from start to finish, maintaining possession for over 62 minutes and firing off 33 shots, which is good for the third-most by an RMAC team this season. The Skyhawks also placed 12 shots on frame while forcing 10 corner kicks. Adams State had an efficient six shots on goal in 10 total shot attempts, but did not force a corner kick all afternoon. Lucas Martin picked up a season-high six saves en route to his third shutout this season.

Pinto helped the Skyhawks get on the board early in the second half, working down the far sideline toward the box before serving a wide-open Stracher just outside the box. Stracher collected with a few touches before deflecting an arcing shot from 26 yards out off the near post and in for his third goal of the year and the fifth of his career at Fort Lewis. Pinto notched his sixth career assist.

Fort Lewis wasted no time out of the intermission, quickly pressing into the Grizzlies' defensive third in its first possession of the second half. Guintini drove down the near side toward the post and quickly centered to a streaking Pinto, who tapped in his sixth goal of the season from inside the crease.

The Skyhawks went on to explode for four goals in the span of just 3:38 seconds, starting in the 78th minute. First, Aguilera struck from just inside the box with assistance from Andreottola after dispossessing the Grizzlies on the back line. Next, Aguilera sent service to the back post on a corner kick where Stracher rose over his defender to bury home his fourth goal of the season inside the post. Guintini went on to score his 13th goal of the campaign on a lunging jab from the crease on service from Andreottola roughly 25 yards from goal. Finally, Aguilera scored his second goal of the match inside the left post from the penalty kick line on a glancing service pass down the end line from Andreottola that weaved through traffic.
