Adams State (2-13-1, 1-8 RMAC) took seven shots and four shots on goal, but were held scoreless thanks to three saves from Lucas Martin and another from Fred Reiter. The two goalkeepers locked up their 17th and seventh career shutouts, respectively.

Bretvik, the Skyhawks leading goalscorer with 10 goals and one assist for 21 points through the regular season, got the action started in the 5th minute when Francisco Pinto sent an out-swinging service into the box, and Bretvik rifled home the opening goal from the penalty line.

The duo combined once more for another goal in the 68th minute, this time with Pinto sending an in-swinging free kick from just outside the corner area to the near-post where an unmarked Bretvik glanced home a header to clinch his brace. Pinto capped the regular season with five goals and nine assists for 19 points.
