The Skyhawks ended the pod with a four-set loss to Mines, hitting .109 versus a .199 mark for the Orediggers. Fort Lewis put up a season-high 11 blocks, a number that was matched by Mines. The visitors ran away with 82 digs while the Skyhawks claimed 68.

Scouting No. 12 MSU Denver
The Roadrunners are enjoying another quality season with a 19-3 record, 9-1 RMAC mark, and 10-straight wins entering Friday's match. The team picked up a pair of sweeps over Colorado Mesa and South Dakota Mines last week and have not dropped a set since October 3 (30-consecutive).

MSU Denver ranks first in the conference in several statistical categories, including points (18.18), hitting percentage (.280), assists (13.18), and kills (14.42).

Individually, three of the top four players in the league when it comes to efficiency hail from the Roadrunners squad. Kryssa Moerman leads the way by hitting .363, followed by Alyssa Boyte and Karyna Werley at .352. Annika Helf leads all players with 3.43 kills per set, and four additional players average over two per set. GabriElle Brewer and Werley run the offense and combine for over 11 assists per set.

Mia Accomazzo leads the team with 3.48 digs per set, followed by Helf at 3.25 per set. Helf is the primary target on serve receive with 591 chances and just 12 receiving errors (.980). Boyte is the leader in blocks with 1.04 per set to rank top five in the conference.

Scouting (RV) UCCS
The Mountain Lions improved to 20-2 on the year after winning both matches last week in Durango and enter the week riding and eight-match winning streak. Both of the team's losses have come on the road, first with a 3-2 loss to CSU Pueblo in Regional Pod play and then with a 3-0 loss to No. 12 MSU Denver. The overall record is a dramatic improvement on an 11-15 mark from 2024.

UCCS ranks second in the conference in team hitting percentage at .246 and second with 1.78 aces per set. Opponent hitting percentage rests at .159 which ties for first in the league, and they rank middle of the pack in several defensive categories—not unusual for a program that puts the ball away at a high clip.

Sophomore Payton Tompkin leads the charge by averaging 3.58 kills per set at a .271 efficiency. Junior Nicole Martin follows with 2.24 kills per set and a .301 efficiency. Two setters run the show and put up nearly identical numbers with Audrey Dowd and Maylen Mitrovich averaging 5.26 and 5.11 assists per set, respectively.

Defensively, Mackenzie Ransom leads all players at 3.32 digs per set, followed by three players with over two digs per set. Sydnee Walker is the primary target on serve receive with 469 attempts and just 15 errors (.968). Martin adds strong net defense to her stat line with 1.06 blocks per set to rank third in the league. She is also the top server in the conference with .53 aces per set with the next closest player at .42 per set.
