COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Junior Hannah Hartwell, an All-American in the 3000m and 5000m during the indoor season, has been named to the First Team Academic All-RMAC, the league announced Tuesday. She is one of just 15 student-athletes across the conference to earn the honor on the women's side.
Hartwell, who transferred to Fort Lewis in 2024, boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA while majoring in Environmental Biology with an emphasis in Wildlife, Plant, and Ecological Science. This marks her first academic award since joining the Skyhawks.
In total, 14 Fort Lewis student-athletes were recognized on the RMAC Academic Honor Roll—11 women and 3 men.
To qualify for the RMAC Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher, complete two consecutive semesters at their current institution, and have used a season of competition. First Team Academic All-RMAC selections must meet a higher GPA threshold (3.50+) and are nominated by each school's athletic communications staff, with winners selected by a vote of the conference's athletic communications directors—excluding votes for their own athletes.
