DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis College Head Men's Basketball Coach Jordan Mast is thrilled to announce the signing of Yorgio Golesis, a transfer guard from Oklahoma City University, as the Skyhawks' first signee for the 2025-26 campaign.

Golesis spent the last two seasons as a key figure for the Stars over in Oklahoma City, where he was tabbed the Sooner Athletic Conference's Freshman of the Year in 2023-24. In his two-year stint, he made 43 starts in his 44 games played, amassing 1,395 minutes (31.7 min/game) and scoring 512 points (11.6 pts/game). Firing at clips of 35.7 percent from the field, 32.3 percent from the three-point line, and 73 percent at the free throw line, he also added 184 assists (4.2 asts/game), 151 rebounds (3.4 rebs/game), and 42 steals (0.95 stls/game).

"We are thrilled to add YG to our roster for the upcoming season," Mast shared. "YG is a play-making guard who elevates those around him. His ability to make the right play consistently is why he was the Freshman of the Year in a very tough SAC Conference. On top of the fact that YG is a great basketball player, he also fits our culture at Fort Lewis perfectly as an active member of his community, a high-academic achiever, and someone who puts the team first. I believe Skyhawks fans will be thrilled to see what this young man can do on the floor this fall."

A six-foot-one point guard, Golesis graduated from Skyline High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. Playing all four years for the Eagles and scoring 1,286 career points, he was thrice named First-Team All-Region and the team's Most Valuable Player while also earning a nod to the All-State Second-Team.

Last season, Fort Lewis returned to the RMAC Tournament for the fifth consecutive season and made its third-straight appearance in the tournament's semifinals. The Skyhawks posted a 19-12 overall record and a 12-8 mark in conference play, earning three all-conference selections. Off the court, the program maintained a 3.04 Grade Point Average as a team through the fall semester.
