DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis College Head Men's Basketball Coach Jordan Mast is excited to announce the signing of Massal Diouf, a six-foot-nine power forward from NCAA Division I Western Illinois University, for 2025-26.

Diouf, a native of Gouda, Netherlands, has been a staple of the DI level, playing two seasons with the Roadrunners at the University of Texas at San Antonio, with a year each in the Conference USA and American Athletic Conference, before spending last season with the Leathernecks at WIU in the Ohio Valley Conference.

"Massal is a huge pick up for us," Mast commented. "The number one thing we needed to improve this offseason was size down on the block, and he's our solution. Massal is not only physical, but also moves extremely well for someone of his size. He will anchor our defense and provide a big presence in the post both offensively and defensively. In addition to being a great basketball player, Massal is an even better person off the court. We expect big things out of him, and we know he's going to deliver!"

In 2024-25, Diouf made 12 starts and played in 22 games for the Leathernecks, providing the squad with 3.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per game. He shot an efficient 50.8 percent from the field and went for a career-high 14 points against Eastern Illinois University on Jan. 30. Back in San Antonio, Diouf registered 21 starts across 59 games played, helping the Roadrunners make back-to-back appearances in the Conference USA and AAC Tournaments. While at UTSA, he fired off at 55.6 percent from the floor with 146 career points, 162 rebounds, 24 blocks, 10 assists, and eight steals.

Diouf prepped at Western Canada Prep Academy while also playing for the U-16 and U-18 Dutch National Teams. In addition to being named a Canadian Junior Basketball First-Team All-Star, he was also ranked a four-leaf recruit by West Brown's Monday Morning Scouting Report.

Last season, Fort Lewis returned to the RMAC Tournament for the fifth consecutive season and made its third-straight appearance in the tournament's semifinals. The Skyhawks posted a 19-12 overall record and a 12-8 mark in conference play, earning three all-conference selections. Off the court, the program maintained a 3.04 Grade Point Average as a team through the fall semester.
