DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis men's basketball has signed Tate Ziemkiewicz out of Lovejoy High School in Allen, Texas, for the 2025-26 season.

Standing at six-foot-five and 185 pounds, Ziemkiewicz was a three-year letterwinner for the Leopards at Lovejoy as a combo guard. As a senior, he helped his squad out to a 28-6 overall record.

"Tate impressed us tremendously through the recruiting cycle," head coach Jordan Mast shared. "He was in one of the toughest high school leagues in Texas and stood out as one of the best. He's extremely talented, and I believe we found a hidden gem that we can develop into a big-time player here at Fort Lewis."

Ziemkiewicz was thrice named First-Team All-District, including a nod as the District's Offensive Most Valuable Player. In addition, he was a UIL First-Team All-Region selection, an Academic All-District honoree, and twice matched the school record for single-game three-point field goals.

Last season, Fort Lewis returned to the RMAC Tournament for the fifth consecutive season and made its third-straight appearance in the tournament's semifinals. The Skyhawks posted a 19-12 overall record and a 12-8 mark in conference play, earning three all-conference selections. Off the court, the program maintained a 3.04 Grade Point Average as a team through the fall semester.
