DURANGO, Colo. – Midfielder David Citron, defender Casey Stracher, and goalkeeper Lucas Martin have each been named to the 2025 Preseason All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team, while the Skyhawks men's soccer team checks in at No. 2 in the league's Preseason Coaches Poll.

In 2024, Fort Lewis boasted a 14-4-6 overall record and a 7-2-1 mark in conference play. The Skyhawks finished the season at No. 6 on the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll after notching a pair of runners-up finishes in the RMAC regular season and the RMAC Tournament before marching to the Elite Eight in the NCAA National Tournament.

The Skyhawks captured 91 total points, including three first-place votes, five second-place votes, and two third-place votes, to finish a pair of points behind first-place UCCS with 93 points. The Mountain Lions secured five first-place votes, three second-place votes, and two third-place votes. Regis took the third-place spot with 89 points, followed by CSU Pueblo in fourth with 79 points, and Colorado School of Mines in fifth with 56 points.

Citron, a senior from Toulouse, France, headlines the trio of Skyhawks on the Preseason All-RMAC team after racking up 24 points last season with seven goals and 10 assists. Citron was later named First-Team All-RMAC, the RMAC Academic Player of the Year, a Division II Conference Commissioner's Association Third-Team All-American, and a College Sports Communicators First-Team Academic All-American.

Stracher, a new addition for the Skyhawks last fall, trails close behind after playing all 90 minutes in 17 matches last season while scoring a pair of goals and dishing out four assists en route to eight points and a pair of Second-Team All-RMAC and USC Second-Team All-South Central Region accolades. Also on the defensive side is Martin, a member of the 2024 RMAC All-Tournament Team and an Honorable Mention All-RMAC honoree between the posts. Last season, Martin posted ten shutouts, a 0.84 goals-against-average, and an 84.4 percent save percentage. In addition, Martin posted a pair of assists as a goalkeeper.

Fort Lewis men's soccer will begin the 2025 campaign at home on Dirks Field against Lubbock Christian on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 4:30 p.m. Fans can enjoy another pair of non-conference matches up on the rim against Simon Fraser and Northwest Nazarene on Thursday and Saturday, Sept. 18 and 20, at 7 p.m., respectively. The Skyhawks will then begin conference play at home on Friday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m.
