SHERIDAN, Wyo. – Thanks to a top 10 finish from Traejan Andrews and a top 15 mark from Jake Chesler, the Fort Lewis men's golf team came away with a fifth-place team finish on the back of a 594 (+18) overall score Tuesday afternoon at Powder Horn Golf Club.

The Skyhawks, despite shuffling on the individual leaderboards, stayed true as a unit, carding back-to-back team scores of 297 (+9) en route to a fifth-place finish overall. Fort Lewis edged Colorado School of Mines (595, +19), who received votes on the latest GCAA Bushnell/Golfweek Top 25 national poll, as well as fellow Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference members Westminster (606, +30) and South Dakota Mines (615, +39).

Colorado Mesa captured team medalist honors on the back of a 13-under-par score of 563, holding off second-place CSU Pueblo (566, -10) by three strokes, as well as No. 8-ranked Colorado Christian (580, +4) and No. 17-ranked St. Mary's (588, +12). The Mavericks' Dylan Everett captured his first win, medaling on the back of an impressive eight-under-par 136 with a five-stroke cushion.

Andrews, a redshirt junior out of Greeley, Colo., captured his second-straight ninth-place finish, pacing Fort Lewis with an even par of 144 for the tournament. After finishing two-over (74) in round one, Andrews fired a two-under 70 in his final round to finish dead-even while racking up two eagles and nine birdies. Chesler responded similarly, finishing four-over (76) in round one before notching a one-under 71 through the final 18 holes to climb 12 spots and finish in a tie for 14th.

Ian Henderson posted a solid 71 (-1) in his opening round, carding three birdies against just two bogeys, but a second-round score of 79 (+7) dropped the senior into a tie for 24th to notch the first top 25 finish of his career. Jordan Jennings rounds out the top scores for the Skyhawks, taking a tie for 34th on a 153 (+9) overall. Dallin Stephens also made his collegiate debut, shooting an 86 (+14) and an 80 (+8) to finish in 56th with a 166 (+22) total.
