Men’s golf to kick off 2025-26 season at Pilgrim’s Run Invitational

DURANGO, Colo. – The Fort Lewis College men's golf team will begin its 2025-26 season on Monday morning with the Skyhawks taking on the Pilgrim's Run Invitational, hosted by West Texas A&M, at Pilgrim's Run Golf Course in Pierson, Michigan.
 
Fort Lewis is sending seasoned veterans in Traejan Andrews, Jake Chesler, and Jordan Jennings. Benjamin Harding and Ian Henderson will make the trip as well, making their second and sixth career appearances, respectively. In addition, freshman Chase Rogers will compete as an unattached individual.
 
Pilgrim's Run will feature a mix 14 total teams from the junior college, Division II, and Division I levels, including Fort Lewis, West Texas A&M, Cedarville University, Grand Rapids Community College, Indian Hills Community College, UT Tyler, Miami University (Ohio), Michigan State, Saginaw Valley State, Northwood University, Tiffin University, Ferris State, Davenport University, and Pittsburg State. The Buffaloes from West Texas A&M and the Eagles from UT Tyler are the only two programs in the field featured on the Golf Coaches Association of America Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Preseason Coaches' Poll.
 
Since its opening in 1997, Pilgrim's Run has received a plethora of accolades from Golf Advisor, Golfweek, and Golf Digest as one of the top courses in the nation and the state of Michigan. Stretching out to as far as 7,021 yards from the championship tees, the course features a 74.5 rating, a slope of 143, and a par of 73.
 
The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 4:30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time.
