DURANGO, Colo. – Colorado School of Mines (11-10, 7-3 RMAC) and Metropolitan State University of Denver (6-12, 4-6 RMAC) are coming to town this Thursday and Saturday to challenge the Fort Lewis men's basketball team (12-5, 10-0 RMAC) in a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games inside Whalen Gymnasium.

White Out, Black Out
On Thursday night, Fort Lewis will hold its annual White Out games against the Orediggers at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with free t-shirts available to a select number of fans and additional t-shirts to be thrown out throughout the game. Saturday afternoon will be a Black Out against the Roadrunners at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., with more free swag available at the game courtesy of Skyhawks Athletics.

Causing Havoc
Fort Lewis has clawed its way out to a 10-0 start in RMAC play, the best start in program history, on the strength of causing and capitalizing on chaos. The Skyhawks have focused on a high-pressure defense under the direction of second-year head coach Jordan Mast, and the results are impressive. FLC ranks 14th in forced turnovers per game (17.71) and eighth in steals per game (11.2) in NCAA Division II and leads the RMAC in both categories. And the adage, "defense creates offense," couldn't ring truer for the Skyhawks. Fort Lewis' high-tempo naturally speeds up its own offense, and the Skyhawks have taken full advantage of out-of-position teams with FLC ranking third in free throw attempts per game (28.6) and fourth in made free throws per game (20.2) in DII. Additionally, FLC boasts the league's second-best field goal defense, with opponents shooting 41.5 percent from the floor.
