Skyhawks Seniors
Fort Lewis will recognize a trio of graduating seniors, including defender Alexandros Papakonstantinou and goalkeepers Fred Reiter and Lucas Martin. Papakonstantinou, a transfer from Kansas City Kansas Community College, has appeared in 13 matches, made seven starts, and supplied one goal and two assists for four points. Reiter, a graduate down the hill out of Durango High School, transferred home to Fort Lewis from Western Oregon University, and has appeared in four games, registered eight saves against 29 shots, and holds one shutout.

Martin, a four-year Skyhawk since 2023, has appeared in 68 matches and racked up 245 saves, a 74.5 percent save percentage, and posted 16 shutouts against 784 shots while also making three assists from beyond the half-line.

Last Time Out
Fort Lewis is coming off a 1-1 week at home on Dirks Field. The Skyhawks kicked off the action with a thrilling 3-1 win over South Dakota Mines (8-5-4, 4-4-2 RMAC), in which FLC conceded early, Fabrizio Aguilera equalized moments later, and Iver Høihjelle and Francisco Pinto scored in the span of 90 seconds to cement the win. On Sunday, No. 17-ranked Regis University (10-3-3, 7-1-1 RMAC) jumped in front again and held on to defeat Fort Lewis 3-1. Aguilera scored his second goal in as many matches, spoiling the shutout.

NCAA Tournament Outlook
Yesterday, Fort Lewis moved to No. 10 in Super Region 4 and No. 32 nationally in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings. The NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship will field 40 teams with 10 teams from each super region. The Skyhawks, in one of the strongest regions in the country, must compete for one of 10 spots against teams from the RMAC, Lone Star Conference (LSC), Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), and PacWest Conference (PacWest). Each conference is granted one automatic qualifier, leaving five at-large bids up for grabs. The full championship field will be announced on the NCAA Selection Show Nov. 9.

Scouting Adams States
The Adams State Grizzlies storm into Wednesday night's match looking to cap the season on a high note after back-to-back losses, 6-1 against Regis and 2-0 against South Dakota Mines. On Oct. 15, ASU captured its first conference win in four years with a 3-2 edge over Colorado School of Mines (0-14-3, 0-8-1 RMAC).

Second-year head coach Peter Freeman, a 2014 Adams State graduate and former Grizzlies men's soccer student-athlete, has his team averaging 0.94 goals, 6.0 shots, and 1.4 corner kicks per game. Senior Avery Richards leads the side with seven goals and two assists for 16 points. Junior forward Eric Kidson owns three goals for six points as the only other multi-goal scorer, while eight different Grizzlies have found the net thus far.

Four different goalkeepers have stood in the woodwork for the Grizzlies, but freshman Josh Kropf leads the team with 12 starts in 14 matches, and boasts a 4.42 goals-against average and 49 percent save percentage with 52 goals allowed and 50 saves against 236 shots. Opposing teams are averaging 4.88 goals on 20.8 shots against ASU.

Looking Ahead
The 2026 RMAC Tournament will begin with quarterfinal matches this Sunday, Nov. 1. Fort Lewis can clinch the third seed with a win over Adams State or, with a loss or tie and other results across the league, secure the fourth seed. Regardless of Wednesday's result, the Skyhawks will host a quarterfinal match on Sunday at 2 p.m. on Dirks Field.
